James R. Lee

Mr. Lee is the founder of Lee & Partners and chairman of the Lee Foundation. After graduating from the US Army and Navy Academy at age 13, he went on to study at Beijing Language/ Culture University, Lancaster University, King’s College, LSE, Harvard Kennedy School & Georgetown. Mr. Lee is a Fellow at the Wharton School and is active on various boards at the University of Pennsylvania. In 2011, Lee was named Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum.
Mr. Lee was honoured by INDEX:, the world’s largest design prize, as one of the ‘Top 30 Creative Leaders in the World’. He is the Chairman of Samsung Design & Innovation (DK) and has led internationalization efforts on behalf of companies, including, Li & Fung, LG, and POSCO. He is an advisor to the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Trade and Investment and KPMG Global China Practice M3 Initiative in partnership with the Development Research Center of China’s State Council. Mr. Lee is a Founding Curator of the World Economic Forum’s Global Shapers Community, and member of the Danish Foreign Policy Society; Mercy Corps’ East Asia Advisory Council; and President William Jefferson Clinton’s ‘Millennium Network’.
Lee & Partners is an international strategic advisory and private investment company. Since 1998, it has advised governments on strategies for innovation and multinational corporations on new business and growth models with emphasis on interdisciplinary co-creation and different market entries.
