Dominic Mulroy

Dominic has been an entrepreneurial operator in the digital entertainment space for over 20 years. In 1998 he founded Europe’s first ever network of eSports centres that he expanded to over 100 venues. He sold his firm to HMV plc in the UK where he was retained as Head of Operations, and opened dozens of experiential retail stores in partnership with Sony Playstation and Microsoft XBOX. This led to him winning two International Video Games Awards for Innovation in 2009 and 2013.
In 2014 he worked with Microsoft to design and build the World’s first dedicated XBOX store in Central London. He then moved to the Middle East after being recruited by a member of the Qatari Royal Family to conceptualise, design and build Qatar’s largest indoor theme park, a 500,000sqft, $140m interactive park in the country’s largest Mall, Doha Festival City that opened in 2017. In 2018, he provided operational consultancy for Steven Spielberg’s Dreamscape Immersive company in Los Angeles, and then ran the operations for 20th Century Fox’s ‘Aliens Descent’ Immersive Experience in Orange County. He returned to the UK where he founded Kylii Kids UK that designed and built the interactive games and in-store experiences for Disney’s first ever out-of-park restaurant that opened in Birmingham, England in 2019.
More recently, Dominic provided executive consultancy services to a variety of global entertainment and retail operators and is now developing Location Based Entertainment projects for Netflix.
